The leading German shipping service provider shipcloud and the international software specialist Speed4Trade have partnered to develop a technology solution that completes e-commerce in the B2C and B2B area with an innovative shipping technology, from which entrepreneurs in the automotive parts trade in particular can benefit.

Speed4Trade GmbH, based in Altenstadt, provides retailers and manufacturers with the building blocks for sustainable, platform-supported B2C and B2B projects. To do this, the internationally active software house combines systems and platforms into a central e-commerce ecosystem and builds on technology partnerships with proven specialists.

Michael Liberda, Partner Manager at Speed4Trade, explains the background of the cooperation with the leading German shipping service provider shipcloud: “Many ERP systems have a shipping solution, but mostly with a limited range of functions. Thanks to our partnership with shipcloud, ERP system operators no longer need to implement their own integration with carriers. You can use the shipcloud features directly via our Speed4Trade Connect integration.”

Claus Fahlbusch, founder and managing director of shipcloud, adds: “For us, such technology partnerships with proven industry specialists are an important moment in pursuing our ambitious growth goals. A partner opens up a whole range of potential new customers for us. As a result, we are pleased about an extremely efficient way of penetrating new market segments for us.”

In this specific case, the cooperation, which is of course not always easy with such comprehensive solutions, was surprisingly uncomplicated and goal-oriented. Michael Liberda on the practiced partner principle within the scope of the shipcloud cooperation: “At Speed4Trade we attach particular importance to personal contact with our business partners. We view the collaboration as if we were working with our own colleagues across company boundaries. As if we were one company towards our customers. According to the principle: ‘Seamless Integration meets Seamless Partnership’.”

Claus Fahlbusch is happy to take up this thread of “seamless” functioning and is pleased that the shipcloud idea of cloud-based, simple and uncomplicated technology integration using a uniform shipping interface (REST-API) has proven itself again in this case. “It’s not just the list of parcel services available to the user at the touch of a button that now reads like a ‘Who’s Who’. The industry penetration of our technology is also becoming more and more complete thanks to such partnerships.”

Michael Liberda puts the result in a nutshell: “We can only recommend our ERP partners to integrate and use shipcloud via Speed4Trade-Connect.”
