Frequently asked questions
about subscriptions
You can try shipcloud for a period of one month, during which we will waive the monthly and transaction fees. This way you’ll have enough time to properly test all features of shipcloud.
At the end of that trial period, you will only be billed for any shipping labels you have created through shipcloud. Therefore you will be required to enter your payment details before starting your subscription.
If you decide to do an upgrade to another pricing plan during this initial one-month period, you will also be billed for the new standing charge. After the first month your membership will be automatically extended and will continue with a payable standing charge for your chosen subscription. If you cancel your subscription before the end of the trial period, your account will automatically be closed at the end of that period.
Please note that there are subscriptions without this trial period. If you are uncertain about your subscription choice, our support team will be happy to assist you.
Our offer, with all connected carriers and services, is so far only available to customers from Germany in full.
Shipping from other countries is possible under the following conditions:
If you want to use our service outside of Germany, at the moment only UPS, DPD, DHL Express and GLS are available as carriers, only with own contracts from the respective countries.

In addition to the monthly and transaction fees for your chosen pricing plan, you will be charged for each shipping label you create. If you do not have a direct account with a carrier, you can send your shipments through shipcloud business rates. Shipping charges vary by carrier, shipment dimensions and/or weight and the destination country.

Usually, our subscriptions have a contract period of one month and are automatically extended by one month unless the contractual relationship is terminated by one of the contracting parties by the end of the current contract month.
Please note that for individual subscriptions, separate agreements apply regarding the contract period and cancellation period. Your exact contract and cancellation period can be found in your contract documents.
Special rules apply when upgrading or downgrading your account (see next question).
Unless otherwise explicitly agreed with us, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time.
For subscriptions with a monthly contract period, the following rules apply:
Upgrading a subscription is always effective immediately. In this case, you will receive a credit for the remaining days in your old billing period. The credit will then be offset against the first monthly payment of the new billing period. Downgrades to a smaller subscription will not take effect until the end of the current billing period. For example, if you started your current subscription on the 15th day of a particular month, your downgrade will become active on the 15th day of the following month.
Please note that the Starter subscription will no longer be available to you after a subscription change, i.e. you will not be able to downgrade to the Starter subscription at a later date.
Separate arrangements regarding upgrade and downgrade options may also apply to individual subscriptions. Please contact our sales team if you are unsure.
Ship with your own carrier accounts
You already have your own business rates with one of the included carriers? Starting with our Professional subscription, you can use these for our included carriers.
If you are also interested in one or more of the additional carriers please contact our sales team for an individual offer.
Please note that the additional carriers are only available from our Enterprise subscription or with individually negotiated subscriptions and may also incur additional setup costs.
Use the shipcloud business rates

Currently, DHL, DPD and UPS are available to you via shipcloud business rates in all subscriptions.
You can view the prices of the individual carriers after logging into your shipcloud account under the menu item “Price information”. Unfortunately, in consideration of the parcel services, we are unable to publish shipping rates on our website.
Once you activate your subscription, you get direct access to the attractive shipcloud conditions for DHL, DPD and UPS. This means you can start shipping quickly and easily without any hurdles, such as a minimum shipping volume. We have summarized everything you need to know about shipping via shipcloud conditions in the Help Center article.
